Finally managed to color ‘em walls with asian paints. And yea, i still love blazing orange.
As a rule, we painted one of the 4 walls with a special color and the rest of the walls were painted with a neutral color (Cold Cofee), to bringforth, a sense of balance.
Used “Sunrise” Royale for the hall, “Moulin Rouge” Premium for the Bedroom and “Sporting Green” Premium for the other Bedroom, which wasn’t exactly the way i visualized it to be, but wasnt too bad at all. Ceilings were all painted white. Cold Cofee was painted on remaining walls in the Hall, Kitchen and Dining room, in order achieve a sense of continuity and to make the rooms appears big. We also painted all doors with a neutral color called “Bluebell White”.
Knocked off all tubelights from the walls painted with a special color. Added a “spot light” and couple of 2 headed ‘flowery lights’, instead.
Walls with the special color were topped with a subtle(?) wall fashion design (dizzy squares and equinox). I realized that the initial ‘wall fashion’ design i came up with , would have been difficult for Asian Paints folks to implement. Played safe and went ahead with their existing templates but customized color combination.
The true shade of any wall paint will emerge only after 48 hours post the second coat. I initially panicked when “Moulin Rouge” was painted, but kinda waited for it blossom into its real shade and was happy that i didn’t jump the gun.
Do come home and see it in person before it gets messy. While all this jazz sounds cool, i keep telling myself that in the end, its all in the Miiiinnnnnddd….
So this is how it finally looks – Looks uber cool . The orange has come out well but the dark pink also looks awesome.

Muthu, they look great man. Its good that you removed the tubes and opted the yellow light.. They add more life to colored walls. Colored walls also look good when there’s lots of natural light coming into the room. Congrats!
I like orange color. But don’t you think orange walls look a bit agressive? I think the Cold Cofee wall is much better…
