		<description><![CDATA[Its been almost 3 months since i&#8217;ve been regular(3-4 times/week) to the Power-Yoga classes conducted at Sun&#8217;s campus. We do the usual Pranayama stuff, then loosening exercises, 15-20 rounds of Surya Namaskara, Supine, Prone, Sitting, Standing asanas finally topped up with Shavasana (My favourite asana!) Somehow, i am hooked on Yoga than working-out at the [...]]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Its been almost 3 months since i&#8217;ve been regular(3-4 times/week) to the Power-Yoga classes conducted at Sun&#8217;s campus. We do the usual <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pranayama">Pranayama</a> stuff, then loosening exercises, 15-20 rounds of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surya_Namaskara">Surya Namaskara</a>, Supine, Prone, Sitting, Standing asanas finally topped up with Shavasana (My favourite asana!) Somehow, i am hooked on Yoga than working-out at the VLCC gym.</p>
<p>We also practise other breathing techniques like the Dog breathing, Rabbit breathing and Tiger breathing asanas, occasionally. Deep breathing does <del datetime="2007-07-18T12:50:07+00:00">gives me a high</del>makes me FEEL GOOD. Incidentally, here are some interesting facts about the normal respiratory rates of different species and their average life span. See any connection?</p>

<p>Mouse      :  163 breaths/minute                  1.5  &#8211;   3 years<br />
Rabbits     :  36 &#8211; 60 breaths/minute               5  &#8211;   6 years<br />
Dogs        :  20 &#8211; 30 breaths/minute             10 &#8211; 14 years<br />
Humans   :  14 &#8211; 16 breaths/minute              80 &#8211; 90 years</p>

<p>My Guru told me to kinda take it easy on the first day.  Not that I am new to doing yoga, started doing yoga when i was on Class IX.  It was more of meditation than any kinda physical activity. It was called SKY, Simplyfied Kundalini Yoga.  Reached the 3rd Stage ( Aagnya, Shanthi, Dureeyam) and stopped doing yoga once i joined college <img src='http://muthuonline.com/wordpress/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  I mean, there were so many other important things to do then.</p>
<p>Guess, its time to give top priority to yoga I still need to complete 3 more stages in SKY to become a Master.  While SKY had lot to do with the mind more than the body, i am more comfortable with this one, which has a lot to do with the body.</p>
